Phase 1 City Re-Opening – Face Mask Distribution To Local Businesses In DFR
The Rockaway Development & Revitalization Corporation (RDRC) and The Rockaway Business Alliance (RBA) is pleased to announce that The City of New York and The Department of Small Business Services is undertaking a citywide effort to distribute face coverings to small businesses and their employees as we move toward the Phase 1 of re-opening of the local economy.
RDRC and RBA will also establish drop sites in the following commercial corridors -Rocky Point, Belle Harbor, Beach 116th Street, and Rockaway Beach Blvd and Wavecrest. RDRC will also work with the Rockaway East Merchants Association (REMA4US) to assure that any Downtown Far Rockaway business in need of face covers can obtain them as well.
“We are grateful to Mayor DeBlasio, SBS Commissioner Jonnel Doris and the SBS Neighborhood Development Team for making this possible. These are extraordinary times, and anything that we can do to take the financial burden of purchasing PPE supplies is critical as our Rockaways businesses set to re-open”, stated RDRC President & CEO, Kevin Alexander”.
Rockaways businesses in need of face coverings, please register using RDRC/NYC SBS Face Mask Distribution Form to receive your face coverings. If you require additional information, or assistance, please feel free to email ehelpdesk@rdrc.org. Also, we will be notifying businesses of scheduled pick-up locations, dates and times.
