Summer Youth Employment

Funded by the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development, the Rockaway Development & Revitalization Corporation's  Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides approximately 800 youth with 7 weeks of paid employment and work experience in job readiness training, financial literacy, health education, college career exploration.  Each year, RDRC establishes over 130 worksites for SYEP participants. SYEP worksites include local businesses, large corporations, health care facilities, community organizations, governmental agencies and elected officials.
